You may think that all of the best Oscars action happened in Hollywood's Dolby Theater on Sunday night, but wouldn't you know, things got interesting at Elton John's viewing party.

This year marked the 22nd annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party, and the stars were out in full force. Among the attendees was 23-year-old English singer Ed Sheeran. The "Lego House" singer posed for a photo with John wearing glasses, while John's face was uncharacteristically bare. Sheeran caption the photo "Real life face swap."

Later in the night, the duo took the stage to perform "Candle in the Wind." Actress Nikki Reed was especially taken with the performance and snapped a photo, which she posted to her Whosay page.

Sheeran and John are no strangers. They performed Sheeran's Grammy nominated song "The A Team" at the 2013 Grammy Awards.
