We've been on "The River" and its scare-a-minute ride for three hours now, and the characters only seem to get more mysterious as we go.

Before this week's "A Better Man" (Tues., Feb. 21, 9 p.m. EST on ABC), in which the Magus crew finds one of Emmet Cole's missing team members who's been cursed, we've got an exclusive look at one of the most cursed characters on the show. Jahel Valenzuela (Paulina Gaitan), the youngest member of the crew, is by far the person we know least about. We've been told that she grew up on the Magus with her father and that she has certain powers, and we've even seen her intuition at work, but is there more going on that isn't translating?
