The xx have unveiled a sleek new video for their song "Fiction" -- a clip that features singer and bassist Oliver Sim traipsing around the moonlit wilderness.

Sim is the only one of the three xx members to appear at length in the black-and-white video. "Fiction" is the fifth single off the band's second album, 2012's "Coexist." Naturally, it offers all of the usual haunting melancholy that The xx is known for serving up.

The xx are riding the wave of a fairly successful year. Last year's "Coexist" debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard charts, and the band recently played Coachella and was featured on the star-studded "Great Gatsby" soundtrack. Later this month, they'll headline their own one-day festival in London, with additional performances by Solange, Polica and more.
