If there was a prize for professional partners on "Duets" (Thu., 8 p.m. ET on ABC), then that would surely go to Jennifer Nettles. The Sugarland vocalist scored two of the three finalists in the show's inaugural season finale. The third slot went to Kelly Clarkson, and third is where Jason Farol would stay.
Nettles outlasted the competition as both of her amateur partners wound up as the top two contenders for the crown. It created a bittersweet moment for both John Glosson and J Rome as while they both wanted to win, they also were happy to see Team Nettles representing so strong in the finale.
In the final moments, host Quddus announced that J Rome had won the season, and the Hollywood Records contract that went along with it.
Now all that remains for fans is to hope and wonder if the show will come back for a second season next summer.
