'I'm In Love With A Church Girl' Trailer Stars Ja Rule, Stephen Baldwin, Adrienne Bailon

Ja Rule Kicks Off His Acting Career

After being released from jail in May, rapper Ja Rule is kicking off his acting career with a new movie.

Ja Rule stars in "I'm In Love with a Church Girl," a drama due out in October. HuffPost Entertainment somehow missed the film's first trailer earlier this month, but a Ja Rule movie is too good to pass up. The trailer for "I'm In Love with a Church Girl," shown above, features Ja as a high-flying man about town who has made his fortune on drug-trafficking. As the police look into him, he is encouraged to look for a second chance in the church, where he meets an attractive, church-going young woman.

This isn't Ja Rule's first foray into acting, as the 37-year-old rapper has held bit parts in various films over the years. Ja Rule appeared in movies including 2001's "The Fast and the Furious," 2003's "Scary Movie 3," and 2004's "The Cookout."

Hitting theaters on Oct. 18, "I'm In Love with a Church Girl" also stars Adrienne Bailon, Stephen Baldwin, and Michael Madsen.
