Everyone loves a good gag reel, but we're usually deprived of oops-moments with animated films. After all, a drawing, claymation piece or say, a Lego, can't trip over a prop or bung up its lines, right?
The creators of "The Lego Movie" would beg to differ. They've put together a two-and-a-half minute blooper reel in which Emmet Brickowski (Chris Pratt) forgets his lines, Batman (Will Arnett) can't control his grappling hook gun, walls and props fall over and other amusing missteps crop up while "filming on-set." They may have missed an opportunity by not showing a Lego character hurting his foot by, you guessed it, stepping on a Lego, but it's charming and hilarious nonetheless.
Fans can't get enough of the children's toy-inspired film. "The Lego Movie" pulled in $69.1 million during its opening weekend and has scored a 96 percent fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
With the film's early success in mind, Warner Bros.' Dan Fellman has said that the studio would "definitely be talking very shortly about [more] plans for Lego."
