Prince had a seemingly endless catalog of music. The legendary singer, who died on Thursday at 57, was producing music and performing all the way up until his death.

And while you might know every word to "Purple Rain" and "When Doves Cry," you might not know that Prince wrote a slew of famous songs for other artists. Here are just a sample of the most famous hits he wrote (or co-wrote) for other people:

1. "Nothing Compares 2 U," sung by Sinead O'Connor

2. "Manic Monday," sung by The Bangles

3. "Love... Thy Will Be Done," sung by ‎Martika

4. "Sugar Walls," sung by Sheena Easton

5. "The Glamorous Life," sung by Sheila E

6. "Love Song," sung by Madonna ft. Prince

7. "With This Tear," sung by Celine Dion
