There are times when the sheer weight of an all-star cast can turn a movie into a mockery. But the big-screen adaptation of the hair-sprayed musical "Rock of Ages" is, well, music to our ears.

We've been gearing up for Tom Cruise's shirtless, rocker alter-ego Stacee Jaxx to make his appearance for quite some time and now he's (cue: girlish shriek) arrived!

"Rock of Ages" is the story of a wide-eyed girl (Julianne Hough) who travels to Los Angeles during the 1980s and finds herself caught up in the unadulterated magic of rock and roll.

Peppered with some of the most delightful personalities in tinseltown (Alec Baldwin, Russell Brand, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Diego Boneta, Paul Giamatti, Malin Akerman, Mary J. Blige, Bryan Cranston, Hough and Cruise) the film may rival even your best karaoke session.
