Abrams' "Star Trek Into Darkness" will debut on roughly 500 IMAX screens starting Dec. 14, Paramount Pictures announced Wednesday. The 3-D footage will play in front of IMAX exhibitions of "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey."
