15 Ways To Be An Adult As Told By Steve Stifler

15 Ways To Be An Adult As Told By Steve Stifler
|

On this day in 2003, "American Wedding" was released. The crew graduated from college and Jim and Michelle were finally getting married.

As we reflect on the series, there will forever be one name in our minds.

The one guy with sexual innuendos powerful enough to physically make us squirm which then forced us to exchange side glances with our friends to make sure they were embarrassed too.

Steve Stifler. Stifler. The Stifmeister.

He alone is the reason many of us would never ever, EVER even think about watching the movies with our parents (they are on cable, like, every other weekend).

But when you think about it, Steve Stifler inevitably taught us a thing or two about growing up. We're not saying that they're all good things, but things nonetheless. His hilariously fratty personality, good looks and ability to make us blush evolved as he went from high school to college to whatever form of adulthood he found himself in.

While you might be thinking that the only thing that matured was his face (or abs, whatever), there is some value beneath Stifler's one-liners.

1. Tell it like it is.

2. Unless you can't.

3. You must learn to be resourceful.

4. Make a catchphrase for yourself. Rhyming is an effective tool.

5. Don't be afraid to make an entrance.

6. Being in touch with your feminine side is totally okay.

7. Someday you'll appreciate parents.

8. But maybe not kids.

9. Maybe not even your friend's kids.

10. Never underestimate the power of a single gesture.

11. Do not let people question your character.

12. Confidence should be the only gift that keeps on giving.

13. HYDRATE. ALWAYS.

14. Peer pressuring will pretty much always be really fun.

15. Growing up actually probably sucks.
