Rita Wilson is returning to "The Good Wife." The star announced the news on Twitter on Sun., Dec. 25.

Wilson -- who is the Editor at Large for Huff/Post 50 -- made two appearances on "The Good Wife" during Season 2 of the CBS legal drama. Her character, Viola Walsh, was last seen in "Great Firewall." She ended her friendship with Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski) and offered Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies) a job with her firm. Could Viola be coming back to check up on her offer to Alicia?

Viola's offer is just one of many Alicia has been given recently. Louis Canning (recurring guest star Michael J. Fox) has been offering Alicia a place at his firm for two seasons.
"The Good Wife" returns Sun., Jan. 8 at 9 p.m. EST with guest star Carrie Preston.
Jason Biggs guest stars the following week.

Series star Margulies recently picked up a Golden Globe and SAG Award nomination for her work as Alicia Florrick, the spurned wife of a politician who returns to work to rebuild her life.
