ABC has given Shonda Rhimes yet another vote of confidence by picking up her new show, "The Catch," for the 2015-2016 season. The network ordered a pilot for the show back in January, describing it as a series about a female fraud investigator who's about to get conned by her fiance, but -- surprise! -- she isn't who she seems to be.
"The Catch" comes from Rhimes and Betsy Beers, and the two will executive produce alongside Julie Anne Robinson and Jennifer Schuur, who will write the pilot. Mireille Enos ("The Killing") was cast to star in the show back in March.
Rhimes tweeted a very solid humble brag:
ABC also picked up five other dramas including a biblical saga story, "Of Kings and Prophets," and a story about FBI recruits, "Quantico." The network will also house three new comedies -- a reboot of "The Muppets," Dan Savage's "The Real O’Neals" and Ken Jeong’s "Dr. Ken."
