'7th Heaven' Star Is Game For A Reunion, As Long As Reverend Camden Is Dead

Catherine Hicks is full of ideas.

Reboots and reunions of beloved ‘90s shows are hot commodities these days, since Hollywood would rather cash in on nostalgia and repetition than take chances on originality. Shows like “Full House” and “Boy Meets World” have already been updated, but what about “7th Heaven” ― would the Camden family be game to reunite?

It’s a tricky question since few series, especially one as specifically targeted to families as The CW’s “7th Heaven,” have been tainted by a controversy quite like the one Stephen Collins caused. (”The Cosby Show” would have difficulties rebooting, as well.)

Well, when TMZ asked actress Catherine Hicks, who played Collins’ wife Annie Camden for 11 seasons, if a reunion was in the cards, she replied, “You know, I don’t know. I mean we’d have to open with Stephen’s coffin.”

Hicks began laughing before adding, “No, but I mean ... You know, it’s all up to networks and those type of things.”

TMZ’s question was apparently inspired by the throwback photos that Hicks’ former co-stars Jessica Biel and Beverley Mitchell were posting on Instagram last week.
