Can Justin Timberlake stop being so awesome already?

The 31-year-old pop star may have gotten engaged to Jessica Biel recently, but that didn't stop him from taking another girl out for date number two. Last November, Timberlake escorted Marine Corporal Kelsey De Santis to the Marine Corps Ball in Richmond, Va., after the then 23-year-old famously asked him out via YouTube. On Saturday, the singer-actor returned the favor by taking De Santis to Spike TV's Guys Choice Awards -- and gushing about her to the entire audience to boot.

"Thank you for inviting me -- even for one night -- to something so meaningful," Timberlake said in dedication to his new friend as he accepted the Entertainer of the Year award. "While you were enlisting, I was a put in a boy band."

Timberlake was similarly moved last fall, after having first met De Santis. "[It] was one of the most moving evenings I've ever had," Timberlake wrote of the experience at the Marine Corps Ball. He then thanked De Santis for being "my hero."
