Some celebrities opt to keep their personal lives personal, while others share their experiences with anyone who has an Internet connection.

There has been a handful of stars who've decided to publicly discuss their own medical scares recently, shedding light on the struggles many other people face every day.

Just this week Gwyneth Paltrow revealed that she experienced a miscarriage with her third child and "nearly died" because of it. And Paltrow's good friend Beyonce also discussed her pregnancy heartbreak, admitting in her HBO documentary "Life Is But A Dream" that she had a miscarriage before welcoming her daughter, Blue Ivy.

Others, like Carnie Wilson, Kate Middleton, Brooke Burke-Charvet and Nick Cannon, have all been in the news lately, addressing their own health scares and thanking fans for standing by them.
