Dave Chappelle appeared on "The Tonight Show" on Friday, June 13 and told an incredible story about meeting Kanye West for the first time. West appeared on "Chappelle's Show" in late 2003, way before he was Yeezus, and even then Chappelle knew he would be huge. "You could tell he was going to be a star," Chappelle told Jimmy Fallon. "It was like Muhammad Ali in Olympic Village. He just knew he was going to get the gold."

Chappelle said that he, West, Talib Kweli and Common were hanging out listening to Jay Z's "The Black Album" when it first debuted. "Jay Z says on the record, 'Kanyeezy, you's a genius. You did it again,' and Kanye stood up -- first time he spoke all day -- and said, 'Stop the record and rewind THAT.'" Watch the interview below for more on the perfect West-Chappelle meet-cute.
