First "Boy Meets World," then world loses "Boy Meets World," then "Girl Meets World."

Both Danielle Fishel, 31, and Ben Savage, 32, are on board for the sequel to the '90s staple. But a lot has changed since the coming-of-age show first hit the air in 1993.

"'GMW' is a new show," Fishel wrote in an open letter to her fans. "It isn't 'BMW' brought back to life but in current day ... There were only a few of you but I know why you don’t want 'GMW' to happen and I appreciate that 'BMW' meant enough to you that you don’t want to see its legacy tarnished. I can assure you, we don’t want that either."

The show, which will appear on the Disney Channel, will follow Cory and Topanga's teenage daughter, Riley -- who has yet to be cast.
