Speak the Future

Wasting time is wasting life -- and we need to stop taking life for granted and live in the here and now. Don't wait for it to come to you. Go get it -- and stop living for any or everyone else. Live for YOU.

I've been trying a new technique lately, and that's speaking my future. Instead of saying, "I can't wait to see that movie," or "I gotta go buy that shirt/pants/magazine," or "I'm gonna take those pictures one day," I've actually been completing what it is I say. Like I saw a dress in a friend's magazine, so I went to the store, bought the magazine and ordered the dress. And I've been saying I need to go out more, so now, every Thursday I meet my girlfriend Danielle in Manhattan for dinner, a drink or to talk.

And ever since I've been speaking my life into existence, great things have been happening. I think we spend too much time procrastinating the "if/ when/ should/ could." Screw that, people, we need to live and breathe before God calls for us. No more saying I'm going to do something. I'm doing what I say I'm going to do and I feel like a million bucks.

Wasting time is wasting life -- and we need to stop taking life for granted and live in the here and now. Don't wait for it to come to you. Go get it -- and stop living for any or everyone else. Live for YOU.
