The day after the premiere of "Stars Earn Stripes," former "Superman" actor Dean Cain stopped by "Fox & Friends" to defend the controversial new NBC reality show that features celebrities tackling military-style missions.
Cain responded to an open letter written by nine Nobel Peace Prize winners, including Desmond Tutu, that criticized the show for glorifying war and "armed violence." Cain pushed back against their argument. "This whole show is a love song to our men and women in uniform ... We're not trying to glorify war, we're glorifying service," he said.
He also talked about the severity of the military-inspired challenges. "In this show, there's no pretend, it's the real deal," he stressed. "We have real guns, real ammo."
