Beyonce's "Back to Black" cover, which features Andre 3000 and debuts in "The Great Gatsby," seems to have hit one snag. Amy Winehouse's father isn't all that impressed with the idea of his daughter's song being covered by the "Single Ladies" singer.
Mitch Winehouse took to Twitter to express his befuddlement with the song's inclusion in the soundtrack and suggesting that Beyonce should make a sizable donation to the Amy Winehouse Foundation (£100,000 is about $152,000):
It's slightly curious to request Beyonce pay out the donation, given the soundtrack song is not her personal record. Winehouse also seems to be unaware that former OutKast rapper Andre 3000 also appears on the cover.
Jay-Z is the executive producer of the "Great Gatsby" soundtrack, and contributed an original song to the film. Others included in the Baz Lurhmann movie: Lana Del Rey, the xx, Florence + The Machine, will.i.am, Fergie, Emile Sande, Jack White, Gotye, Sia, Nero, Coco O. of Quadron, Bryan Ferry, Q-Tip and GoonRock.
Meanwhile, Beyonce and Jay-Z were spotted celebrating their 5-year wedding anniversary in Havana, Cuba on Thursday, the same day that Beyonce debuted her new Pepsi commercial, "Mirrors." The spot teases new music from her upcoming album, namely a Timbaland-produced song titled "Grown Woman."
