Who wouldn't want to be Fueled by Ramen? I'm, of course, referring to the record label and not the noodles. Speaking of the latter, it's delicious but the sodium is a killer. Anyway, the label is front and center here. Eat that stuff at your own peril.

Fueled by Ramen has a roster people would kill for: Paramore. Panic! at the Disco. Twenty One Pilots. It goes on. Against the Current, a band out of New Jersey and Poughkepsie, NY, are new to the impressive lineup but success has already found them. Prior to signing with FBR, the band independently released an EP Gravity which hit Billboard's "Heat Seekers" chart, and grew their social media faster than Americans fleeing a Trump presidency. The band will release their full-length debut In Our Bones on May 20, and will be playing the Vans Warped Tour - now in its 21st year. At the Music Conservatory of Westchester last week, the band played a pair of songs and sat down for a chat. Watch the videos - filmed by Alye Carlevero - below.

Oh good, original music how I love thee. Montreal-based quartet Half Moon Run provide the world with just that. Case in point: watch the "Consider Yourself" video, and hey, listen to it, too. It's off their latest release Sun Leads Me On. The album is sold track-to-track, and the band is currently on a headline tour this spring before heading abroad. You should check them out, and New Yorkers, you can courtesy of A-Sides!

About A-Sides with Jon Chattman:
Jon Chattman's music/entertainment series typically features celebrities and artists (established or not) from all genres performing a track, and discussing what it means to them. This informal series focuses on the artist making art in a low-threatening, extremely informal (sometime humorous) way. No bells, no whistles -- just the music performed in a random, low-key setting followed by an unrehearsed chat. In an industry where everything often gets overblown and over manufactured, Jon strives for a refreshing change. Artists featured on the series include Imagine Dragons, Melissa Etheridge, Yoko Ono, Joe Perry, Alice Cooper, fun, Bleachers, Charli XCX, Marina and the Diamonds, and Bastille.
