Turns Out Ryan Gosling And Eva Mendes Didn't Secretly Get Married (UPDATE)

There's still hope for you, girl.

UPDATE: False alarm! Hope floats and Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes’ secret wedding apparently never happened. According to a source close to the couple, TMZ reports, Us Weekly’s claim is not true and the two have yet to tie the knot.

Rejoice and be merry!

PREVIOUSLY: We need to talk about your fictional marriage to Ryan Gosling. It’s over. No, for real this time. Gosling and Eva Mendes reportedly made it official earlier this year in a secret ceremony with a small group of family and friends, Us Weekly reports.

The couple, who started dating in 2011 while co-starring in “The Place Beyond The Pines,” are notoriously private when it comes to details about their personal life. Their paparazzi deflection game is so strong, in fact, that they kept the birth of their second daughter a secret from the media for two weeks.

According to magazine, a source Mendes is most likely on a mission to destroy said, “Eva and Ryan have always felt like a married couple ... They are infatuated with each other.”

Dig the knife in deeper.

Getting Gosling to talk about Mendes and vice versa is a monumental task not unlike summiting Everest, but the “La La Land” actor did let this sweet admission slip during an interview with Hello! in 2015

When asked about what he looks for in a woman, he said, “That she’s Eva Mendes. There’s nothing else I’m looking for ... I know that I’m with the person I’m supposed to be with.”
