Man down!

British boy band One Direction performed in Glasgow, Scotland, last night (Feb. 26) when they stopped to chat with the cheering audience. Just then, a shoe was hurled in the direction of the five young guys.

Harry Styles, perhaps most notably known to many for being Taylor Swift's ex, picked up the shoe that landed onstage. At that very moment, a second shoe was thrown in the band's direction -- and hit Styles right in the crotch.

The 19-year-old doubled over in what seemed to be genuine pain and dropped on stage. Bandmates Liam Payne and Zayn Malik rushed over to check on him, but by then he turned his face to the crowd in a little smile. The good-spirited lad that he is, Styles got up and pulled off some lunges and stretches to show everyone he's fine.

According to Britain's Daily Record, teenage fan Jade Anderson from East Kilbride confessed to throwing the shoe that hit her idol. "I just wanted him to touch something belonging to me," the teen told Daily Record. "I didn't mean to him him where I hit him, I'm really embarrassed." The young girl was almost kicked out of the arena, but Styles intervened and Anderson stayed for the show.
