The universal loathing for Paris Hilton crosses all borders. There are no liberals, no conservatives, no blacks, no whites, no rich, no poor who don't hate Paris Hilton. We all can't stand her and are jubilant at her misery and downfall.

Who didn't absolutely cherish the pictures of Hilton crying like a baby when she was forced to serve out the rest of her sentence like any other citizen? Who didn't adore the stories of her crying out, "Mom!" Or better yet, "It's not right!"

I laughed and laughed. I nearly wept with joy at the comeuppance. I believe the Germans invented the word schadenfreude in anticipation of this very event. Schade! Schade! For shame!

Every time I think of Paris crying out for her mommy as she is led away to serve out a sentence she thought she was too good for, it brings a smile to my face. She thought she was above the law. And she is shattered to find out that she cannot whine, pout or buy her way out of this situation. The laws don't just apply to the rest of us. The rich, the sheltered, the privileged are not above the law. It is impossible not to celebrate that.

The only thing better would be to see a certain other spoiled rich kid with a famous name who thinks he's above the law, suffer the same fate. Oh to dream. Sweet pleasant dream.

Can you see him now, "Mommy! It's not right! Uncle Dick told me I could do all those things. He told me I was above the law. It's not right!" As Barbara Bush looks on, weeping for her silly, spoiled son.
