The "Reading Rainbow" Kickstarter reached it's one million dollar goal on its FIRST DAY!
When we asked Levar what has been some of the most surprising reactions, Levar responded saying, "The most surprising reaction has been my own. Everyday I wake up and it's like Christmas morning and I know that we now have the resources to really advance the Reading Rainbow mission forward and continue to make a difference to the lives of children and hopefully for generations to come."
Levar also expressed that he feels strongly about not only teaching our children how to read, but also making sure they develop a love for reading.
"At the end of the day, America really cares about literacy and how we educate our children," Levar said.
The actor also revealed that there may be some Reading Rainbow remixes coming your way soon as well as more perks involved his celeb friends and fellow Star Trek stars. Get excited!
