MGMT's 'Cool Song No. 2' Video Features Michael K. Williams And A Bizarre Man Growing Scales

MGMT Gets Weird In New Video

MGMT's latest video plays like an episode of "Breaking Bad." From sun-drenched desert shots to an assembly line of drug manufacturing, "Cool Song No. 2" feels like an ode to the expiring meth series -- or to gritty TV dramas in general, considering the video stars Michael K. Williams, better known as Omar on "The Wire" and Chalky White on "Boardwalk Empire."

The psychedelic-rock band's signature bizarreness is on full display in "Cool Song," which ends with Williams' plant hunter falling for a man mutated by the drugs Williams is responsible for synthesizing. Watch the trippy video, directed by Isaiah Seret (Raphael Saadiq, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros) and beautifully shot by cinematographer Bradford Young ("Pariah," "Ain't Them Bodies Saints"), below.

MGMT also unveiled a bundle of fall tour dates.
