Now, Superman has two full sets of parents. It's just that one pair calls him Clark Kent, and another, Kal-El.

Deadline reports that Julia Ormond, who just wrapped filming 'My Week With Marilyn," is close to a deal to play Lara Lor-Van, Superman's Kryptonian birth mother, in the big screen reboot of the franchise, "Man of Steel." She'll join Russell Crowe -- who plays Jor-El as parents of Henry Cavill, who plays the classic hero.

Kevin Costner will play Pa Kent and Diane Lane Ma Kent, the earthbound couple who found and raised him as Clark Kent after the destruction of Krypton.

Ormond appeared last year in the HBO miniseries, "Temple Grandin," had a three episode run in "Nurse Jackie," and will appear soon in the drama film "The Green."
